BB Cream vs. Foundation
/Happy Tea Talk Tuesday's guys! This isn't my normal "Tea Talk", this week I wanted to talk about the pros and the cons of BB cream + Foundation.
If you don't know anything about BB cream or if you are looking for a good BB cream or foundation to buy then you are in the right place. I like to consider myself a plain Jane 99% of the time. So with that being said, I prefer to wear BB cream when I have to put on make-up. I'm currently using Maybelline's BB cream (pictured below) and I love it!
What I like about BB Cream :
- It's extremely lightweight and doesn't feel cakey
- Has natural finish/gives the no make-up look
- Known to have a higher SPF
- A lot of hydration since it is basically a tinted moisturizer
However, there are times when I want to look like a Instagram baddie so I have to pull out my foundation. The foundation I am currently using is Makeup Forever HD (pictured below) and the coverage is flawless.
What I like about foundation:
- It has more coverage
- There are more shades
- It gives you that extra beat face look
- Gives your skin a smooth finish
On a regular day I use BB cream because it is easier and doesn't feel heavy on my skin. If I need to cover up acne or scaring, I just put concealer on those areas and it gives me a flawless finish. For everyday where I think BB cream is more practical, so I like to use this drugstore BB cream by Maybelline. I used this product in the picture below and it only cost $7. In my opinion, it does the same thing as MAC or a Laura Mercier BB cream. Both of those brands I've tried and I loved equally. However, when trying to be cost efficient the Maybelline works good too. lol. As far as foundations, MAC Matchmaster, Makeup Forever HD and Kat Von D lock it are my three favorite foundations.
