Black Spring Pieces

Hey hey! Happy almost Spring! 

I’m very excited for color this year and incorporating more colorful pieces in my wardrobe. But before I do that I can’t let go of my black pieces.

I think anyone can agree with me when I say that black makes everything look sleek! I wanted to share an outfit that I’ve been wearing often and then I realized there was no color in this outfit at all. So much for me getting ready for Spring. I do plan to have more color in my wardrobe this year and I will definitely share my colorful looks. There is just so much beauty in black. It legit goes with any and everything. I’ve mixed and matched these pieces so many times, so I wanted to share with you some black wardrobe staples that can be worn this Spring. 


  • Black top

I have several black tops. Black tank tops, black blouses, black tees, you name it. But this tank is absolutely AMAZING!! It was more than I would ever spend on a black tank top, but once I got it I instantly knew why it was a little pricy. IT is definitely worth it, because it can go with pretty much anything and the fit is amazing. I love the detail in the rib material and how it can be worn as a dressy under shirt or a casual tank top.

  • Black pants/slacks

I’ve worn these pants so much that I purchased them in another color! They are so comfortable and feel like sweat pants, The have pleats down the front of them that give these Banana Republic pants a dressy look. I absolutely love the cut of these pants and they’ve instantly became a wardrobe staple. Definitely something that can be worn several ways.

  • Black skirt

Skirts are very popular this season and I got this cute black skirt the other day that I’ve been loving. It’s actually a skort (skirt with shorts underneath) which has also made a comeback this year. You can dress a black skirt up for a night out or down with some sneakers and a casual tee. I just love the flirty vibes of a skirt!

  • Black shoes

A black pair of shoes are essential! My obsession with black boots is a little too real, but you can never have too many black shoes. These black loafers are easy to wear and I’m so happy loafers are super trendy right now. These loafer/slides are so easy to wear. I always like to make sure I have a good black flat, heel, sandal and a pair of boots!

  • Black purse

Last but not least. A good black purse! I’ve been having my eye out for this beautiful YSL handbag that I know I can wear with soooo many things. But I got this super cute bag for a fraction of the price and I’ve been loving it. When it comes to black purses you need either one really good one or a crossbody that can also be a clutch too. We love anything that can be versatile over here!
