Then 17, then 18 and now it's time for college! A lot of people started their first day of school today. First day of high school, first day of college, or maybe even your first day at a new job. Remember the key goal in starting anything for the first time, today you set the tone! You set the tone on how people view you, how hard are you going to work, even the way you dress. Make sure your first day is a great representation of you!

Enough about that, let's talk about my first day of school outfit! Even though I'm not starting college today I can still pretend like today is my first day, right? Now what would Yvette wear on her first day of college you ask?

Something with a crop top, DUH!

I love to wear crop tops no matter what the occasion. Crop tops don't always have to look sexy, find a way to make it look presentable and you can always get away with wearing them. My favorite piece to wear crop tops with is anything high waist. But I wanted to do something different and make this crop top look "first day of school" ready. If you're a college student this crop top look is really cute and casual. This top is actually labeled as a sports bra, but it doesn't have good support so I decided it was going to be the perfect black mesh crop. The back is completely mesh which is super cute and the front is only mesh at the top. I told you mesh was the fall trend so you better get on it while it's not too cold. Depending on where you live it might be cold already so I would replace this top with a black long sleeve crop and still get the same look.

Overalls! Yes, I love them (another 90's look), I wanted to wear these overalls for my first day because they scream school girl to me lol. To make my outfit complete I had to add the black and white chucks. Now I'm ready for school! Of course I want to show people on my first day that I'm fashionable, conscious of my appearance, outgoing and not afraid to take risk. That's the tone I'm setting on my first day, what about you?
